Ms Culebras reported on a Spanish trip to Salamanca during the Easter holidays: ‘13 Fourth Form girls and one A level student stayed with families and attended four hours of Spanish tuition every day at ISLA Language School. They enjoyed a salsa lesson and guided tours of this amazing city, which included climbing to the top of the Cathedrals, a visit to the Art Deco museum and the Spanish Civil War archives. During outings to La Alberca, a beautiful Spanish town, and to Madrid, we appreciated food and shopping opportunities – from churros, tapas and paella to fashionable Spanish shops. Our students were great ambassadors for Prior’s Field, at the same time benefiting hugely from the experience. Fourth Former Katy commented, ‘My favourite activity in Salamanca was the tapas night; the food was delicious. Having lessons with ISLA really helped my Spanish and were fun and active. My family in Salamanca was really welcoming and easy to talk to if I needed guidance on anything.’

‘Perfect conditions and wall to wall sunshine all week’ was how Miss Gordon and Miss Scott described the Easter school ski trip to Les Deux Alpes in France. 40 girls were accompanied by 5 members of staff for the one-week trip, delighted to be greeted on arrival by a fresh layer of snow. ‘Everyone improved, the resort and instructors were excellent, bring on the next trip.’
