Mrs Olive reports on Thursday’s EPQ Presentation Evening: ‘This event represented the culmination of a year’s work for 14 Sixth Form candidates. Their topics range from: an essay on the difference and relevance of modern meditation as opposed to religious meditation; a marketing plan to make opera accessible to a younger audience; an exploration of whether the position you play in netball directly relates to the injuries you are prone to; to a picture book to raise awareness of deafness in children and how a deaf child’s isolation can be relieved by the acquisition of a hearing dog. Students were supported by staff members, while members of the invited audience posed questions on the girls’ projects; all this contributes to their final mark. The girls have done an amazing job over the past year, and we wish them well in this final stage in the process.’
