As part of widening access, means-tested bursaries are available at all main points of entry and may be up to 95% of day fees. In addition, there is limited funding available for bursarial help where parents have experienced unforeseen financial hardship. Bursary awards are subject to repeat testing of parental means each year and may be varied upwards or downwards, depending on parental circumstances. Initial applications should be made through the Admissions Team.
Through the school’s own charity, a limited number of Foundation Awards are offered to pupils significantly disadvantaged by life circumstances. Fully-funded Sixth Form places allow girls to continue their education with the support of our boarding community.
Armed Forces and FCO Discount – Pupils who have a parent serving in the armed forces are eligible for a 20% discount on the boarding fees only. Serving personnel should be aware that they can apply for the MOD continuing education allowance under certain criteria. Parents serving in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are eligible for a 20% discount on boarding fees only provided that they are receiving the FCO education allowance.
Old Girls – A 10% reduction on day fees only is offered to the daughter of an old girl.
Siblings – A 10% reduction in day fees only is offered to the elder daughter, whilst at least three siblings are at Prior’s Field at the same time.
Applicants under any of the above routes must meet normal entry requirements and applications should be made through the usual route.
