Testimonials

I love boarding because it is a home away from home.

Junior Boarder, Web Client

Even though I’m thousands of miles from where i live, I still feel like I’m right at home.

Full Boarder

One day I will be in a position to help other children who have had difficult lives.

Prior’s Field Foundationer, 2017

Foundation Awards strike me as a great way to help girls whose lives would be transformed by going to Prior’s Field. I don’t think I appreciated it all at the time, but now I work in education I realise how lucky I was to go to such a supportive school with inspiring teachers.

PF Old Girl 2004, Regular donor

Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for helping me stay at a school that has completely changed my life.

Prior’s Field Foundationer, 2017

Prior’s Field has opened many doors for me and developed me as a person due to the increased responsibility and wonderful education I have received. I hope that for the future Prior’s Field will be known for its loving and kind heart, acceptance of who individuals are, and empowering young girls from all around the

Prior’s Field Old Girl, 2016, Foundationer

Education for women, which Julia Huxley saw with such inspired clarity as a desired goal, has become an absolute essential. Not every girl has the means to find that route to a successful career.

Prior’s Field Old Girl 1956, Foundation Trustee

I credit so much of who I am to the Foundation.  It has inspired me to want to work in the charitable sector and ultimately to donate back  as I would love another young girl to have a similar opportunity to mine.

Sixth Form Foundation Student

Even though I am thousands of miles away i live, I still feel like I’m right at home.

Boarder on Boarding House

I love it. The place, the friends I have made and the teachers. Staying for Sixth Form was the best decision I have ever made.

Sixth Former V

Our daughter became far more self reliant, organised and conscious of time management.  Each day at PF is a full day, with not a moment wasted, but with no undue or unacceptable pressures exerted on the girls.

Current Parent

The wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities includes many opportunities for physical exercise, which are available to all pupils.

ISI Report 2016 – Section 4.16

The school fulfills its aim to build confidence and encourage individuality, in an environment which seeks to develop girls into young women of integrity.

ISI Report 2016 – Section 3.15

Prior’s Field offers a distinctive route to high achievement, but at the centre of our concerns is also the sort of young woman your daughter will become.

Head, Tracy Kirnig

We live by Admiration, Hope, and Love: And, even as these are Well and wisely fixed, In dignity of being We ascend.

 William Wordsworth

The first day I came to board I was greeted with friendly faces and smile. I felt really welcomed and have settled in very quickly.

Boarder on settling in.

Boarding is an experience I will never forget. Living with close friends and within a small community of girls is fun and enjoyable.

Boarder on Boarding Life, Boarder

I love the people and I always have a good time, and I feel nurtured and comfortable in the environment.

Boarder on Boarding Environment

The Boarding House is like your family, we are all like sisters.

Boarder on Boarding House

We have something left to do for her sake – to work at Prior’s Field & in the world outside, so that the traditions which she planted and loved so much may grow and flourish, and that her ideas for us may be realised.

Prior’s Field Magazine, Autumn, 1908

Before Sixth Form, teachers were teachers but then you realise they are so much more. They are here for you in every way and you build a very different relationship with them – almost a partnership.

Rose Dodd, Former Sixth Form Student

All of us who have been to Prior’s Field owe him a deep debt of gratitude, both for the garden, nearly all of which he and Mrs Huxley planned and planted, and which has been so important as a background to our life here always.

Beatrice Burton-Brown, remembering Leonard Huxley

Every Pupil who completed a questionnaire agreed that teachers help them to learn and give them individual help when needed.

ISI Report 2016 – Section 3.20

Being at Prior’s Field for the Sixth Form changed my life and I want to help other girls to have the same fantastic opportunity.

Former Bursary Pupil

In recent visits, I have been moved to hear of pupils enabled to join the school entirely funded by Foundation Awards and to hear what a success this venture has been.

Old Girl and supporter

Nothing is ever ordinary at Prior’s Field.

Parent

We don’t have a one size fits all approach and reject any form of regimentation that stifles the joys of independent thinking, discovery and self expression.

Tracy Kirnig, Head.

The aim is to encourage the girls to stretch themselves and achieve goals that they set, in conjunction with mentors.

DofE Co-ordinator

Tennis is a sport for life. The Prior’s Field Tennis Academy exists to pass this love of tennis on to the whole school community, from all ages of beginner to our elite players.

There is a warm, caring, relaxed environment in boarding with clear boundaries and rules. My daughter has the best of school and home life under one roof.
